Craig was born in Mishawaka, Indiana, and he graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1976. Craig attended Indiana University graduating in 1980.  Following college, Craig attended the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, where he graduated in 1984. 

For more than three decades, Craig has practiced exclusively in the area of personal injury and wrongful death law. Craig is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Craig is a member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA). Craig also serves as a mediator for personal injury and wrongful death cases. 

Craig and his wife, Laura, have two adult children.  Both are in the legal field. Craig and Laura enjoy boating on Lake Michigan and traveling.
